I loved you years ago
You comforted me in the darkness
As the world revealed itself to me  
You were everything that I ever wanted
One day, gone

I tried to replace you, but without you
I could not love another

I found you again
I built a fort blanketed in rediscovered love
Inside I became ever giving, ever accepting, ever expanding

Flashlights glowing undercover
Revealing our faces, our truths, our hearts
